East Duwamish GS: S Chicago St - Green Seattle Day - ...11/08/2014

Activities

Join Earth Corps, Boeing, neighbors, and volunteers to help keep Seattle green by planting native plants in the East Duwamish Greenbelt! In addition to planting a future forest, we'll also be mulching to help build healthy soil.

For the 2014 Green Seattle Day, volunteers should meet at the Rainier Beach Community Center starting at 9am. Buses will leave at 9:30am, and restoration will take place until noon, then return to the Community Center for a delicious lunch!

Open to the public

All ages OK

60 out of 50 volunteers registered.

What to Bring

Dress for work and the weather: long pants and long-sleeved shirts are recommended and closed-toed shoes or boots are a MUST. Make sure that you don't mind getting your clothes dirty! Tools and gloves will be provided, but bring some snacks and a water bottle. Enjoy a catered buffet afterwards!

Where to Meet

Special transportation arrangements are being made for Green Seattle Day. Meet at the Rainier Beach Community Center at 8825 Rainier Ave S, Seattle WA 98118 at 9am and take a buspool to the site - then return by bus for some Ethiopian food!
