Kubota Gardens Natural Area - Day of Caring at ...09/15/2017

Host: Forest Stewards

Activities

The beautiful natural woodlands surrounding Kubota Gardens continues to be restored by volunteers. The West Kubota site between the South and North branches of Mapes creek still has an area to be reforested. This requires removal of ivy and blackberry prior to planting native species later in the fall. It is a great opportunity to learn about native plants and PNW ecology. You are welcome to come and join in. This is part of the Green Seattle Partnership's goal to reforest Seattle green spaces and natural areas throughout the city.
