North Beach Park - Seeding the South Plateau02/25/2017

Host: Friends of North Beach Park

We have a shady seed mix of native plants to spread, courtesy of Green Seattle Partnership. We'll spread it on the South Plateau, a good flat area that needs some infill to compete with the weeds. We'll start with cleaning up some ivy, spread the seed mix, and then add some woodchip mulch on top. The fact that we'll be working in a flat area and will be spreading seed might make this an especially attractive event for younger children.

What to Bring

Please wear weather appropriate layers that can get dirty and closed-toe shoes or boots. Bring water and snacks if you need them, but there are no facilities at North Beach Park. We'll provide tools, gloves, and guidance, but a spare leaf or garden rake might be helpful.
