Jackson Park Golf Course - It's Earth Day, Hooray!!04/22/2017

Host: Friends of Jackson Park Trail (welcome, Phillips Academy Alums and other)

Help restore native vegetation to remnant forests along the peaceful 2.2 mile trail that wraps around the Jackson Park Golf Course! We'll remove invasive ivy and blackberries, roots and all, to ready another piece of ground for planting native species later, during the rainy season.

Open to the public

All ages OK

16 out of 30 volunteers registered.

What to Bring

You'll want to wear your grubbies--long pants, long sleeves, shoes you can get dirty, and whatever the weather requires (warmies, rain gear...?). We have gloves and tools for you, but if you have your favorite gloves, feel free to bring them. Bring water and lunch (we'll have snacks for our short breaks).

Where to Meet

Meet at the tall white sculpture next to the trail, at NE 135th and 11th NE, next to the overflow parking area for the golf course.
1100 NE 135th St, Seattle, WA 98125

Where to Park

Plenty of parking in the overflow lot at the golf course. Bring friends and carpool!

Bikes can be locked nearby (no bike racks, sorry)

Nearest bus stop is on 15th at NE 135th, serving 373, 73, 347, 348. Walk west along the fence to the trail--we'll be at the top of the hill. OR! Stop at Roosevelt and NE 125th serves #41. From there, walk north on 10th until it curves, becomes NE 135th at the golf course entrance. You'll see the sculpture where we meet.
