Lewis Park - Green Seattle Day at ...11/12/2016
Join the Green Seattle Day fun at Lewis Park. Green Seattle Day is our biggest party of the year, and we want you there! Join hundreds of volunteers planting thousands of plants in parks throughout the Emerald City. All community members are welcome!
This event is family-friendly and open to all ages. Volunteers will plant trees and other plants that will become the future forest of the park.
Meet at the Daejeon Park Pagoda, 1144 Sturgus Ave. S.
There will be FREE sandwiches for all volunteers at Lewis Park after the planting. Everyone is also welcome to join the celebration at the Green Seattle Day Hub, Camp Long, after-party at 12:30, which is open to all volunteers from the other Green Seattle Day sites throughout the city.
Camp Long address; 5200 35th Ave SW, Seattle WA 98126, The entrance to Camp Long is located at the intersection of SW Dawson St and 35th Ave SW.

What to Bring
Come dressed for the weather (rain or shine) in clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. We suggest that you dress in layers of older clothes that include long pants, long sleeve shirt and a rain jacket. Wear sturdy closed-toe shoes (rubber boots, hiking/tennis shoes). We'll have tools and gloves for you to use, as well as coffee, water, and a mid-morning snack. Help reduce waste by bringing your own refillable coffee mug/water bottle if you have one. 1144 Sturgus Ave. S. Meet at the Daejeon Park Pagoda.
Where to Park
Park on Sturgus Ave S just north of S Judkins St. The Daejeon Pagoda is the landmark to look for on the east side of the street.
